As Mathiole once said, “Art speaks where words are unable to explain.”
Art is extremely impactful, and it enables us to interact in a unique way. It’s a channel for us to express our feelings and beliefs. Plus, let’s not forget about how beautiful it is to look at.
Art that is painted on a wall, ceiling, or bridge is called a mural. Murals have been used as communication tools throughout human history, and they continue to be in style even today. Murals have been used to depict religious customs, political messages, life activities, and much more. Murals can be exceptional at representing events, passions, social issues and brands. Here are the top benefits of murals.
1. Capture Attention
Firstly, murals are massive, so it’s very hard for them to go unnoticed. Secondly, they are usually very aesthetically pleasing, so people enjoy staring at them. Murals also add charm, character, and beauty to neighborhoods. Businesses can use murals to express themselves in a fun and artistic way that will stick out in people’s minds.
For example, the Fantastic Beasts mural we did have wands attached to it that people could grab onto. Not only did this make for a cool photo, but since items were sticking out from the wall, it caused it to be even more eye-catching.
2. High Exposures
Murals can reach huge audiences if they are put in areas with high foot and/or car traffic. They stand out along busy city streets since they are surrounded by plain brick/cement. Since murals are out of home, people cannot shut them off. Our mural campaigns have enormous exposure since we paint them in populated downtown areas.
3. Generate Buzz
Murals start conversations and discussions. It’s interesting and exciting to try to figure out what a painting represents. Murals empower us to view things from different perspectives. So many ideas, opinions, and emotions can be incorporated in a single mural. With the help of the internet, people can share pictures of murals from all over the world.
Murals can also be linked to social media, which will increase exposure and buzz. For example, the G Adventures mural we did have an awesome photo spot and an Instagram hashtag on it which led to people sharing it on their social media.
